Why does Statseeker default some interface speeds to 100Mbit?

A speed of 100M is used when an interface is discovered with either no speed, or a speed of 0.

Statseeker will also show 100M for ports which do not have an OperStatus of Up.

100M is used so that Statseeker mathematical processes have a number to work with if speed is required for a calculation.

e.g.

A Cisco switch shows that the interface's port status is Up but the line status is Down.

The Cisco port status is equivalent to AdminStatus.

The Cisco line status is equivalent to OperStatus.

Statseeker shows the interface speed as 100M.

Statseeker will show the Cisco reported speed for the interface when the line status is Up.
