How do I recreate an OA's disk?

If the OA's disk is corrupt, you can replace it with a new download from Statseeker.

To do this there is no need to change anything on Statseeker.

The procedure is:

  1. From the Statseeker GUI go to Admin Tool > Observability Appliances > Observability Appliances

  2. Click on the ... next to the applicance

  3. Click on "Download image"

  4. Select the .vmdk button on the page that opens.

  5. Uncompress the downloaded image - it will be approx 900mb

  6. Copy the downloaded uncompressed .vmdk file in to an upload directory on to the OA's Vmware host

  7. Please note this should not be the file directory of the OA virtual machine as using the Move file function on the VMware host will make the file expand into the 16GB disk image

  8. Power off the OA "VM"

  9. Check the OA's Virtual Disk and the newly uploaded replacement file have the same name
