5.6.2 - How do I add Ping-only devices from a file in Statseeker?

1. Create a CSV file with the following headings; IP Address, Device Name, and Ping-only and enter the appropriate data (Ping-only is always "true").

e.g.

Then go to Admin Tool GUI > Discover My Network > Manual Device Addition.

Then click Manual Device Addition and select "Import Devices from file (Multiple)" in the "Devices Source" drop down box.

Then click the "Upload" button and select your ping-only CSV file.

Then click the "Import Devices" button.

The number of devices that are going to be added should appear on the "base" page, then on this page click "Start Discovery"

The page below then should appear showing the discovery in progress:

When the discovery is finished a screen like below should appear noting the number of devices added and any errors.

The device addition details can be checked by clicking the "Show Detailed Log" button, this should contain entries like below:

The devices should now be listed in "Device Filter" column the Console GUI

After a few minutes the devices can be checked using the "Device Viewer" and they should show "ping" data on the "Ping Graph".

Please note the "Ping Graph" can be "zoomed" by clicking and dragging the area you wish to "zoom in" to.
